2006: CADD Edge Acquires Innovative Design Systems

CADD Edge, Inc. the Largest SolidWorks VAR in the Northeast Acquires Innovative Design Systems, Inc.

Westborough, MA, January 18, 2006 - CADD Edge, Inc., SolidWorks’ largest reseller in the Northeast for the last 10 consecutive years, announced today that it has completed it’s acquisition of Innovative Design Systems (IDS) of Sharpsville, PA. Over their 16 year history, IDS developed an extensive client list and an excellent track record of successful CAD/CAM implementations. CADD Edge will offer these customers an expanded product portfolio including rapid prototyping 3D printers and product lifecycle management solutions. IDS will now be known as CADD Edge.

Alan Warren, formerly President of Innovative Design System, Inc., joins CADD Edge as a Business Unit Manager. “From our very first day in business as Innovative Design Systems’ our goal has always been to provide our customers with the best of everything. I’m excited with this opportunity to further enhance their investment in SolidWorks. Our customers can rest assured - we are now part of the best SolidWorks Reseller organization on the planet.”
