CONNEX – THE ONLY MULTI-MATERIAL 3D PRINTERS
The Connex family consists of the only 3D printing systems that enable jetting of multiple model materials simultaneously. Based on Objet’s breakthrough PolyJet Matrix™ Technology, Connex 3D printers offer the unique ability to print different parts made with different materials all in one single build and to create composite Digital Materials™ on the fly, enabling users to emulate the look, feel and function of a wide variety of end products.
Parts produced on the Connex500 or Connex350 3D printers have smooth and durable surfaces, with exceptionally fine details and an outstanding surface finish. These capabilities enable users to create double injection products very early in the product design process reducing costs, minimizing risks associated with creating complex molds, and opening up new application opportunities:
- Durable end-use parts
- Over molding parts and double-injection process simulation
- Labeling, texture and imprints
- Plugs and seals
- Living hinges, gaskets and hoses
- Shock absorption and impact resistance
- Coating parts
- Biomedical and translucent parts
With the high accuracy of ultra-thin layers, high-quality output and unique multi-material printing capabilities, Objet’s Connex systems are the perfect choice for simulating end products and parts.
CONNEX 3D PRINTERS – KEY BENEFITS
Close emulation of the look, feel, and function of final products
- Enables printed prototypes that are very close to the end product in terms of mechanical properties and material combinations
- Saves days of simulating and preparing complex and expensive molds for double injection
- Eliminates the need for silicon molds used for testing by enabling most of the testing to be done at an early stage
- Saves costs and time on applications that would usually involve gluing separate parts made of different materials or gluing several small pieces to make a large part
Superb productivity and flexibility
- Large-size build tray drastically reduces time for all types of parts, including large parts in a single build or numerous small parts made of the same or different material simultaneously
- Easy switching between High Quality, High Speed and Digital Material printing
- Full weekend unattended operation, using Jumbo material cartridges (with at least 72 hours of non-stop build capacity)
Wide choice of materials
- Uses Objet’s FullCure® photopolymer model and support materials, offering a wide variety of mechanical and physical properties, and easy support
- Creates a wide variety of Digital Materials™ — Composite materials made up of two FullCure model materials integrated in specific concentrations and structures to provide the desired mechanical properties
Variety of build process and printing modes
- Advanced 3D printing capabilities enabling versatile multi-material printing options: ?Multi Material Parts – parts printed using multiple FullCure model materials, eliminating the need to design, print and glue separate model parts to make a complete model, reducing printing and post-processing time
- Digital Materials — composite materials consisting of any two FullCure model materials integrated in specific concentrations and structures to provide the desired mechanical properties, enabling close simulation of the target product materials for early-stage testing
- Mixed Tray – different parts made with different materials in a single build, saving time on materials replacement and providing a solution for multiple users
- Easy switching between three printing modes to support a variety of applications
- User-defined selection of exact materials, printing speed and resolution for individual parts
Clean office environment
- UV light curing of each photopolymer layer immediately after jetting
- Environmentally stable, fully cured models may be handled and used immediately, without post-curing
- Materials supplied in sealed, ready-to-load cartridges, requiring no contact
- Easy machine installation, operation and maintenance
- No finishing and post-build processing required
Outstanding quality and accuracy
- Highest resolution, with identical X & Y resolution of 600 dpi
- Ultra-fine details and an outstanding smooth surface finish
- Easy removal of gel-like support material designed to support complex geometries
- Horizontal layers of 16µ (0.0006”)
- Highly precise printing – tolerance of 0.1 to 0.3mm over large models
