Dassault Systemes brings 3D software to Indonesia
Dassault Systemes, one of the world's leading innovators in the fields of 3D design software and product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions, recently held its annual 3DExperience Forum. As Control Engineering Asia reports, the forum was held in Indonesia, a first for the show, and part of Dassault Systemes' effort to bring its products and solutions to new areas and people.
A chance for insight
According to the news source, the 3DExperience Forum is a chance for business and technology leaders to work together, network, and gain insight into new developments and trends in the industry. Executives from such industries as aerospace, automotive manufacturing, mining and education attended the forum, which was held at the Grand Hyatt in Jakarta.
The news source reports that Dassault Systemes announced that it hopes to help organizations and individuals pursue innovations that will improve the lives of people in a sustainable way.
"3D Experiences are a catalyst for innovation, enabling any enterprise stakeholder to participate in the innovation process, contributing to drive value for the end consumer," said Samson Khaou, managing director for Dassault Systemes Asia Pacific South.
Indonesia-specific advancements
Samson noted that one of Dassault Systemes recent business ventures is likely to have a particularly strong impact on Indonesia: its acquisition of Gemcom Software International, the mining industry's leading provider of software solutions.
Regarding this acquisition, Bernard Charles, president and CEO of Dassault Systemes, said the venture "is a significant step towards fulfilling our purpose of providing 3D experiences for imagining sustainable innovations to harmonize products, nature, and life."
As Control Engineering Asia noted, Indonesia is one of the world's leading producers of coal, and many Indonesian companies use Gemcom software to improve their operations.
